About this event

We are excited to host a community-led panel and discussion in partnership with Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) on Saturday, February 25th from 10am-12pm CST (11am-1pm EST). Breakfast + coffee will be provided! While this event will be hosted in-person in Nashville, a live stream viewing event will be held in Chattanooga as well (details below).

Join educators and community members from TFA Nashville-Chattanooga, Tennessee Educators of Color Alliance (TECA), and the Nashville Teacher Residency (NTR) to listen, learn, and engage in discussion with families & community partners about highly effective ways to support and engage immigrant and refugee communities.

Attendees will walk away with:

  • An understanding of what is at stake this year for our immigrant & refugee community at the state legislature and how to take action.
  • Multiple tools and resources to advocate for change and take action both inside & outside of schools.
